Mimmo Alboumeh’s Botica features Spanish and Mexican fare in a lively atmosphere.

Botica by Chef Mimmo, which opened Jan. 1 in the former Watershed space in Buckhead, is owned by Mimmo Alboumeh. Pronounced “boh-tee-kah,” which means “boutique” in Spanish, it bills itself as “a sophisticated bodega” specializing in Mexican and Spanish cuisine, according to its website.

We will be doing a lot of delicious smoked meats this fall to go in our street style tacos. It’s all about the tacos, which are inspired by the flavors of Spain and Mexico. The menu is elevated, chef-driven Mexican cuisine. Expect a next-level brunch Saturdays and Sundays with my signature bottomless Mimosas.

The former owner of a celebrated Atlanta taqueria has plans for a new Mexican restaurant in the space that previously housed Watershed on Peachtree.

Opening in November, the menu for Botica centers around street-style tacos and the flavors of Mexico and Spain.
